To achieve this, the hinged lid box according to the invention is characterized in that the lid closing edge and the closing counter edge are arranged by the width of the package at different distances from each other.

In this sense, the hinged lid box according to the invention is configured in such a way that the lid closing edge - preferably running transversely - and the counter edge have different profiles. This results in different shapes in the region of the front face of the package, and surface regions - with different geometric shapes - of the front wall of the collar are visible in the closing position of the package. At least that region of the collar front wall may be ornamented, respectively and graphically, and may also contain consumer information. The distance between the lid closing edge and the closing counter edge ensures easier handling during opening, precisely when lifting the lid. The gap formed between the two closing edges according to the invention does not have to extend the full width of the hinged box, but can be formed in a central region or laterally displaced. Outside the gap, the lid closing edge and the closing counter edge may abut one another in the usual manner or with special profiles which coincide with one another. The shape according to the invention of the hinged lid box, more precisely with respect to the profile of the lid closing edge and the closing counter edge, can advantageously be combined with another configuration feature, i.e. with a rounded edge package, respectively with a slanted edge package, ie with hinged lid boxes, in which the vertical packaging edges have - at least in the front face region - a rounded or beveled cross section.

The hinged lid boxes consist of one (bottom) piece of box 10 and a (top) lid 11 attached thereto.
