Relatório Descritivo da Patente de Invenção para "MISTURA HERBICIDA SINÉRGICA, COMPOSIÇÃO COMPREENDENDO A MESMA, BEM COMO MÉTODO PARA O CONTROLE DE VEGETAÇÃO INDESEJÁVEL". A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição herbicida si-nérgica contendo (a) um componente herbicida de cloroacetanilida e (b) um componente herbicida de ácido picolínico. A proteção de lavouras das ervas daninhas e outra vegetação que inibem o crescimento das lavouras é um problema recorrente constante na agricultura. Para auxiliar no combate desse problema, os pesquisadores no campo da química sintética produziram uma variedade extensiva de produtos químicos e de formulações químicas eficazes para o controle desse crescimento não desejado. Os herbicidas químicos de muitos tipos têm sido descritos na literatura e um grande número está em uso comercial.
Em alguns casos, os ingredientes ativos dos herbicidas mostraram ser mais eficazes em combinação do que, quando aplicados de forma individual e isso é referido como “sinergismo”. Como descrito no Herbicide Handbook of the Weed Science Society of America, Seventh Edition, 1994, p. 318, “sinergismo” [é] uma interação de dois ou mais fatores de tal forma que o efeito quando combinado é maior do que o efeito previsto com base na resposta de cada fator aplicado separadamente”. A presente invenção é baseada na descoberta de que determinadas cloroacetanilidas e determinados ácidos picolínicos, já conhecidos individualmente com relação à sua eficácia herbicida, exibem um efeito sinérgico quando aplicados em combinação.
Os compostos herbicidas que formam a composição sinérgica desta invenção são conhecidos independentemente na técnica com relação aos efeitos dos mesmos sobre o crescimento de plantas.
As cloroacetanilidas são uma classe conhecida de compostos tendo atividade herbicida. Um número de compostos de cloroacetanilida está descrito no The Pesticide Manual, Fourteenth Edition, 2006, incluindo 2-cloro-N-(etoximetil)-N-(2-etil-6-metilfenil)acetamida ("acetoclor"), 2-cloro-N-(2,6-dietilfenil)-N-(metoximetil)acetamida ("alaclor"), N-(butóxi- metil)-2-cloro- N-(2,6-dietilfenil)acetamida ("butaclor"), 2-cloro-N-(2- etil-6-metilfenil)-N-(2-metóxi-1-metiletil) acetamida ("metolaclor"), 2-cloro-N-(l-metiletil)-N-fenilacetamida ("propaclor"), 2-cloro-N-(2,4- dimetil-3-tienil)-N-[(15)-2-metóxi-l-metiletil]acetamida ("dimetenamida P") e 2-cloro-N-(2,6-dimetilfenil)-N-(IH-pirazol- 1 -ilmetil) acetamida ("metazaclor"). Muitos desses herbicidas de clo-roacetanilida estão comercialmente disponíveis.
Os ácidos picolínicos também são uma classe de compostos conhecida que tem atividade herbicida. Um número de compostos de ácido picolínico está descrito no The Pesticide Manual, Fourteenth Edition, 2006, incluindo os ácido 3,6-dicloro-2-piridinacarboxílico, ("clopiralid1’), ácido 4-amino-3,5,6-tricloro-2-piridinacarboxílico, ("picloram") e o ácido 4-amino-3,6-dicloro-2-piridinacarboxílico ("aminopiralid"). Muitos desses herbicidas de ácido picolínico estão disponíveis comercialmente. A presente invenção refere-se a uma mistura herbicida sinérgica que compreende uma quantidade eficaz como herbicida de (a) um composto de cloroacetanilida selecionado a partir do grupo de acetoclor, alaclor, butaclor, dimetenamida P, metazaclor, metolaclor, propaclor e as misturas dos mesmos e (b) um composto de ácido picolínico selecionado a partir do grupo que consiste em clopiralid, picloram, aminopiralid e as misturas dos mesmos. As composições também podem conter um adjuvante ou veículo aceitável na agricultura. A presente invenção também refere-se a um método para controlar o crescimento de vegetação indesejável, especificamente em lavouras, e o uso dessa composição sinérgica.
Os espectros das espécies dos compostos da mistura sinérgica, isto é, as espécies de ervas daninhas que os respectivos compostos controlam, são amplos e altamente complementares. As cloroacetanilidas como o acetoclor controla as ervas daninhas do tipo de grama anual, e determinadas ervas daninhas de folhas largas incluindo as Amaranthus spp e Solanum spp. Os ácidos picolínicos tais como o clopiralid epicloram controlam as ervas daninhas de folha larga Compositae e Amaranthaceae. Foi descoberto de forma surpreendente, no entanto, que uma combinação de uma cloroace- tanilida selecionada a partir do grupo de acetoclor, alaclor, butaclor, dimete-namida P, metazaclor, metolaclor, propaclor e as misturas dos mesmos e um ácido picolínico selecionado a partir do grupo que consiste em clopiralid, pi-cloram, aminopiralid e as misturas dos mesmos exibem uma ação sinérgica no controle de (lambsquarters) (chenopodium album L; CHEAL), trigo sarra-ceno {polygonum convolvulus L; POLCO), sanguinária(polygonum aviculare; POLAV), violeta (viola arvensis L; VIOAR), aparinas (galium aparine L; GA-LAP), e papoula (papaver rhoeas L; PAPRH) em taxas de aplicação mais baixas do que as taxas dos compostos individuais. O acetoclor e o metazaclor são de preferência especial como a cloroacetanilida e as misturas que r incluem clopiralid, picloram e/ou aminopiralid são aquelas de preferência específica como o ácido picolínico. As modalidades de preferência específica nas quais as misturas de ácidos picoltnicos são empregadas incluem: metazaclor, clopiralid e picloram; metazaclor, clopiralid, picloram e aminopiralid; e metazaclor, picloram e aminopiralid. Essas misturas sinérgicas são especificamente úteis para o controle de ervas daninhas em sementes de milho de óleo de colza. O termo herbicida é usado aqui, neste pedido de patente para significar um ingrediente ativo que mata, controla ou modifica adversamente de outro modo o crescimento de plantas. Uma quantidade de controle eficaz de forma herbicida ou de vegetação é uma quantidade de ingrediente ativo que ocasiona um efeito modificador de forma adversa e inclui os desvios do desenvolvimento natural, morte, regulação, dessecação, retardação e os semelhantes. Os termos plantas e vegetação incluem sementes germinando, brotos emergindo e vegetação estabelecida. A atividade herbicida é exibida pelos compostos da mistura sinérgica quando eles são aplicados diretamente à planta ou no local da planta em qualquer estágio de desenvolvimento ou antes do plantio ou emergência. O efeito observado depende da espécie da planta a ser controlada, o estagio de crescimento da planta, os parâmetros de aplicação ou de diluição e o tamanho da gota de pulverização, o tamanho de partícula dos componentes sólidos, as condições do ambiente na ocasião do uso, o composto específico empregado, os adjuvantes e veículos específicos empregados, o tipo de solo, e semelhantes, bem como a quantidade de composição química aplicada. Esses e outros fatores podem ser ajustados na forma em que é conhecida na técnica para promover a ação herbicida seletiva ou não seletiva. Em geral, é de preferência aplicar a composição da presente invenção após a emergência com relação à vegetação indesejada relativamente imatura para alcançar o controle Máximo das ervas daninhas.
Na composição desta invenção, a proporção em peso do componente de cloroacetanilida para o componente do ácido picolínico na qual o efeito herbicida é sinérgico fica na faixa entre 500:1 e 6:1. De preferência a proporção em peso do componente de cloroacetanilida para o componente do ácido picolínico fica dentro da faixa entre 200:1 e 8:1, com uma proporção em peso dentre 180:1 e 11:1 sendo a de preferência especial. A taxa na qual a composição sinérgica é aplicada irá depender do tipo específico de erva daninha a ser controlado, o grau de controle necessário, e a sincronização e o método de aplicação. Em geral, a composição da invenção pode ser aplicada em uma taxa de aplicação de 0,05 quilo-grama por hectare (kg/ha) e 5 kg/ha com base na quantidade total de ingredientes ativos na composição. Uma taxa de aplicação entre 0,5 kg/ha e 3 kg/ha é a de preferência. Em uma modalidade de preferência especial da invenção, o componente de cloroacetanilida é aplicado em uma taxa entre 1 kg/ha e 2 kg/ha e o componente de ácido picolínico é aplicado em uma taxa entre 0,005 kg/ha e 0,3 kg/ha.
Os componentes da mistura sinérgica da presente invenção podem ser aplicados separadamente ou como parte de um sistema herbicida de partes múltiplas. A mistura sinérgica da presente invenção pode ser aplicada em conjunto com um ou mais outros herbicidas para o controle de uma variedade mais ampla de vegetação indesejável. Quando usada em conjunto com outros herbicidas, a composição pode ser formulada com o outro herbicida ou herbicidas, misturada em tanque com o outro herbicida ou herbicidas ou aplicada em sequência com o outro herbicida ou herbicidas. Alguns dos her- bicidas que podem ser empregados em conjunto com a composição sinérgi-ca da presente invenção incluem: herbicidas de amida tais como alidoclor, beflubutamid, benzadox, benzipram, bromobutide, cafenstrole, CDEA, clorti-amid, ciprazole, dimetenamid, dimetenamid-P, difenamid, epronaz, etnipro-mid, fentrazaamida, flupoxam, fomesafen, halosafen, isocarbamid, isoxaben, napropaamida, naptalam, petoxamid, propizaamida, quinonamid e tebutam; herbicidas de anilida tais como cloranocril, cisanilida, clomeprop, cipromid, diflufenican, etobenzanid, fenasulam, flufenacet, flufenican, mefenacet, me-fluidide, metamifop, monalida, naproanilida, pentanoclor, picolinafen e pro-panil; herbicidas de arílalanina tais como benzoilprop, flamprop e flamprop-M; herbicidas de sulfonanilida tais como benzofluor, perfluidona, pirimisulfan e profluazol; herbicidas de suifonamida tais como asulam, carbasulam, fenasulam e orizalin; A composição sinérgica da presente invenção pode ainda ser usada em conjunto com lavouras tolerantes ao glifosato, glufosinato, tolerantes com 2,4-D- ou dicamba em glifosato, tolerantes com glufosinato, tolerantes com 2,4-D ou dicamba. Em geral é de preferência o uso da composição sinérgica da presente invenção em combinação com herbicidas que sejam seletivos com relação às lavouras que estejam sendo tratadas e que complementem o espectro das ervas daninhas controladas através desses compostos na taxa de aplicação empregada. É ainda de preferência geral aplicar a composição sinérgica da presente invenção e outros herbicidas complementares ao mesmo tempo, tanto como uma formulação de combinação ou como uma mistura de tanque. A composição sinérgica da presente invenção pode em geral ser empregada em combinação com protetores (safeners) herbicidas conhecidos, tais como benoxacor, bentiocarb, brassirolida, cloquintocet (mexil), ci-ometrinil, daimuron, diclormid, diciclonon, dimepiperato, disulfoton, fenclora- zola-etil, fenclorim, flurazola, fluxofenim, furilazola, isoxadifen-etil, mefenpir-dietil, MG 191, MON 4660, anidrido naftálico (NA), oxabetrinil, R29148 e N-fenil-amidas do ácido sulfonilbenzoico, para o aumento da seletividade das mesmas.
Na prática, é de preferência usar a composição sinérgica da presente invenção em misturas que contenham uma quantidade com atividade herbicida eficaz dos componentes herbicidas em conjunto com pelo menos um adjuvante ou veículo aceitável na agricultura. Os adjuvantes ou veículos adequados não devem ser fitotóxicos com relação a lavouras valiosas, especificamente nas concentrações empregadas na aplicação das composições para o controle seletivo das ervas daninhas na presença de lavouras, e não devem reagir quimicamente com os componentes herbicidas ou com os outros componentes da composição. Essas misturas podem ser destinadas para a aplicação diretamente às ervas daninhas nos locais das mesmas ou podem ser concentrados ou formulações que sejam normalmente diluídas com veículos e adjuvantes adicionais antes da aplicação. Eles podem ser sólidos, tais como, por exemplo, pós finos, grânulos, grânulos dispersáveis em água, ou pós que podem ser molhados, ou líquidos, tais como, por e-xemplo, concentrados emulsificáveis, soluções, emulsões ou suspensões.
Os adjuvantes e veículos agrícolas adequados que são úteis para a preparação das misturas herbicidas da invenção são bastante conhecidos daquelas pessoas versadas na técnica.
Os veículos líquidos que podem ser empregados incluem a á-gua, tolueno, xileno, nafta de petróleo, óleo para plantação, acetona, metil etil cetona, ciclo-hexanona, tri-cloroetileno, percloroetileno, acetato de etila, acetato de amila, acetato de butila, monometil éter de propileno glicol e mo-nometil éter de dietileno glicol, metanol, etanol, isopropanol, álcool de amila, etileno glicol, propileno glicol, glicerina e semelhantes. A água é em geral o veículo de escolha para a diluição dos concentrados.
Os veículos sólidos adequados incluem talco, argila pirofilita, sílica, argila atapulgita, argila caulim, diatomita, greda, terra diatomácea, cal, carbonato de cálcio, argila bentonita, greda de pisoeiro, cascas de sementes de algodão, farinha de trigo, farinha de soja, pedra-pomes, serragem, farinha de cascas de nozes, lignina e semelhantes. É usualmente desejável incorporar um ou mais agentes ativos de superfície dentro das composições da presente invenção. Esses agentes ativos de superfície são empregados vantajosamente tanto em composições sólidas como líquidas, especialmente aquelas destinadas a serem diluídas com veículo antes da aplicação. Os agentes ativos de superfície podem ser de caráter aniônico, catiônico ou não-iônico e podem ser empregados como agentes de emulsificação, agentes de umidificação, agentes de suspensão,ou para outras finalidades.
Os agentes de superfície típicos incluem os sais de sulfatos de alquila, tais como o lauril sulfato de di-etanol amônio, sais de sulfonato de alquilarila, tais como o dodecil benzenossulfonato de cálcio, produtos da adição de alquilfenol-óxido de alquileno, tais como etoxilato de C18-nonilfenol, produtos da adição de álcool-óxido de alquileno, tais como etoxilatos de tri-decil Ci6-álcool; sabões, tais como estearato de sódio; sais de sulfonato de alquilnaftaleno, tais como o sulfonato de dibutilnaftaleno de sódio; ésteres de dialquila dos sais de sulfossuccinato, tais como sulfossuccinato de di(2-etilhexil) de sódio; ésteres de sorbitol, tais como o oleato de sorbitol, aminas quaternárias tais como o lauril cloreto de trimetil amônio; ésteres de ácidos graxos de polietileno glicol, tais como o estearato de polietileno glicol; copo-límeros em bloco de óxido de etileno e óxido de propileno; e sais de ésteres de fosfato de mono- e dialquila.
Outros adjuvantes comumente usados em composições agrícolas incluem agentes de compatibilização, agentes antiformação de espuma, agentes sequestradores, agentes de neutralização e tampões, inibidores de corrosão, corantes, odorantes, agentes de espalhamento, auxiliares de penetração, agentes grudentos, agentes de dispersão, agentes de espessa-mento, depressores do ponto de congelamento, agentes antimicrobianos, e assemelhados. As composições também podem conter outros componentes compatíveis, por exemplo, outros herbicidas, reguladores do crescimento de plantas, fungicidas, inseticidas, e semelhantes e podem ser formuladas com fertilizantes líquidos ou sólidos, veículos particulados para fertilizantes tais como o nitrato de amônio, ureia e semelhantes. A concentração dos ingredientes ativos na composição sinérgica da presente invenção é em geral a partir de 0,001 até 98 por cento em peso. Concentrações a partir de 0,01 até 90 por cento em peso são empregadas com frequência. Em composições destinadas a serem empregadas como concentrados, os ingredientes ativos estão presentes em geral em uma concentração a partir de 5 até 98 por cento em peso, de preferência de 10 até 90 por cento em peso. Essas composições são tipicamente diluídas com um veículo inerte, tal como a água, antes da aplicação. As composições diluídas aplicadas usualmente às ervas daninhas ou no local das ervas daninhas contêm em geral 0,0001 até 1 por cento em peso do ingrediente ativo e de preferência contêm 0,001 até 0,5 por dento em peso.
As presentes composições podem ser aplicadas às ervas daninhas no local das mesmas através da utilização de pulverizadores de pó terrestres ou aéreos, pulverizadores, e aplicadores de grânulos, pela adição à água de irrigação, e através de outros meios convencionais conhecidos daquelas pessoas versadas na técnica.
Os exemplos que se seguem ilustram a presente invenção.
Exemplos Foram estabelecidos testes de campo para a avaliação do controle de ervas daninhas com herbicidas aplicados em uma temporização prematura pós-emergência em milho de campo. Cada teste foi realizado em um projeto em bloco completo aleatório com três replicações para cada um dos tratamentos em lotes que variaram em tamanho a partir de 2,5 x 6,5 metros até 3,0 x 8,0 metros. Os tratamentos com herbicida nesses testes incluíram: acetoclora 1680 g/ha clopiralid + picloram a 93,5 + 23,5 g/ha clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid a 72 + 24 + 12 g/ha acetoclor + clopiralid + picloram a 1680 + 93,5 + 23,5 g/ha acetoclor + clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid a 1680 + 72 + 24 + 12 g/ha Esses tratamentos com herbicidas foram disseminados por pulverização pós-emergência sobre milho de 1 a 3 folhas e sobre folhas de ervas daninhas de 1 a 2 folhas. A formulação de acetoclor que estava sendo usada também continha um protetor de furilazol. O grau de controle das ervas daninhas foi avaliado visualmente e registrado de 40 até 71 dias depois da aplicação como um percentual de controle de ervas daninhas. O controle percentual é o total de lesões às plantas devido a todos os fatores incluindo parada de crescimento, malformação, clorose, necrose, inibição de emergência, e outros tipos de lesões em plantas. As classificações de controle variaram a partir de 0 até 100 por cento, em que 0 representa nenhuma lesão e 100 representa a morte completa.
Foi descoberto que a combinação do acetoclor em mistura com o clopiramid + picloram ou clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid exibiram uma ação sinérgica inesperada e surpreendente para o controle de CHEAL, PO-LAV e POLCO, enquanto que acetoclor isolado, clopiramid + picloram isolados ou clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid isolados não proporcionaram um controle aceitável dessas espécies. A Tabela 1 abaixo mostra os resultados reais do teste pós-emergência precoce descrito acima das combinações de acetoclor com clopiralid + picloram sobre CHEAL, POLAV e POLCO. A Tabela 1 também exibe o controle de ervas daninhas previsto com relação às combinações testadas de acetoclor com clopiralid + picloram contra CHEAL, POLAV e POLCO, calculado de acordo com o método Colby (S. R. Colby. “Calculating Syner-gistic e Antagonistic Response of Herbicide Combinations”. WEEDS 15(1):20-23, 1967). De acordo com o método Colby: E + X+Y-(XY/100), em que E é p percentual previsto de controle de ervas daninhas com relação a uma combinação de um primeiro herbicida H1 eum segundo herbicida H2 em uma taxa de aplicação de p+q g/ha; X é o percentual de controle de ervas daninhas observado com relação a H1 em uma taxa de aplicação de p g/ha; e Y é o percentual de controle de ervas daninhas observado com rela- ção a H1 em uma taxa de aplicação de q g/ha;
Tabela 1 - Controle Precoce pós-erva daninha A Tabela 2 abaixo mostra os resultados reais do teste pós-emergência precoce descrito acima de combinações de acetoclor com clopi-ralid + picloram + aminopilarid sobre CHEAL e POLAV. A Tabela 2 também exibe o controle de ervas daninhas previsto com relação às combinações testadas de acetoclor com clopiralid + picloram contra CHEAL e POLAV, calculado de acordo com o método Colby.

Os tratamentos com herbicida nesses testes incluíram: metazaclor a 750 g/ha clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid à 60 + 20 + 10 g/ha metazaclor + clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid a 750 + 60 + 20 + 10 g/ha Esses tratamentos com herbicidas foram disseminados por pulverização pós-emergência sobre semente de óleo de colza de cotiledô-nea até 1 folha, porém pré-emergência de qualquer erva daninha. O grau de controle das ervas daninhas foi avaliado visualmente e registrado em 55 até 68 dias depois da aplicação como um percentual de controle de ervas daninhas. O controle percentual é o total de lesões às plantas devido a todos os fatores incluindo parada de crescimento, malformação, clorose, ne-crose, inibição de emergência, e outros tipos de lesões em plantas. As classificações de controle variaram a partir de 0 até 100 por cento, em que 0 representa nenhuma lesão e 100 representa a morte completa.
Foi descoberto que as combinações de metazaclor em misturas com clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid exibiram ação sinérgica inesperada e surpreendente no controle de VIOAR, PAPRH e GALAP, enquanto que o metazaclor isolado, e o clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid isolados não proporcionaram um controle aceitável dessas espécies. A tabela 3 abaixo mostra os resultados reais do teste de pré-emergência acima descrito das combinações de metazaclor com clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid, para o controle de VIOAR, PAPRH e GALAP. A Tabela 3 também exibe o controle de ervas daninhas previsto para as combinações testadas de metazaclor e clopiralid + picloram + aminopiralid contra VIOAR, PAPRH e GALAP. A Tabela 3 também exibe o controle de ervas daninhas previsto para as, calculado de acordo com o método de Colby.

Embora a invenção tenha sido descrita com referência a modalidades de preferência e exemplos das mesmas, o âmbito desta invenção não está limitado somente aquelas modalidades descritas. Como se tornarão aparentes a uma pessoa versada na técnica, podem ser feitas modificações e adaptações da invenção acima descrita sem que se afastem do espírito e do âmbito da invenção, que é definida e circunscrita pelas reivindicações em anexo.
Claims (5)
1. Mistura herbicida, caracterizada pelo fato de que compreende uma quantidade eficaz como herbicida de (a) acetoclor, e (b) uma combinação dos compostos de ácido picolínico clopiralid e picloram.
2. Mistura de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizada pelo fato de que a combinação de compostos de ácido picolínico compreende ainda aminopiralid.
3. Mistura de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizada pelo fato de que a proporção em peso do componente (a) para o componente (b) de ácido picolínico é entre 500:1 e 6:1.
4. Composição herbicida, caracterizada pelo fato de que compreende uma quantidade eficaz como herbicida da mistura herbicida como definida na reivindicação 1, e um adjuvante ou veículo aceitável para a agricultura.
5. Método para o controle de vegetação indesejável, caracterizado pelo fato de que compreende pôr em contato a vegetação ou o local da mesma com, ou aplicar ao solo para impedir a emergência de vegetação, uma quantidade efetivamente herbicida da mistura herbicida como definida na reivindicação 1.
