Abstract
método para secagem de um material biologicamente ativo. a presente invenção refere-se a um método para produzir espumas contendo materiais biológicos. uma pasta sólida ou semissólida é formada combinando o material biologicamente ativo com um agente protetor em um solvente aquoso. a pasta formada é permitida solidificar e pode ser então opcionalmente dividida na forma desejada. a pasta pode ser congelada para permitir a formação de cristais de gelo para agir como "porogens". subsequentemente, a pasta é exposta à energia radiante da onda em propagação sob vácuo (t-rev) para secagem. isso faz com que o solvente evapore, deixando o material seco contendo o material biologicamente ativo, o agente protetor e um conteúdo de água relativamente pequeno. materiais biologicamente ativos que podem ser usados incluem células, culturas microbianas, micróbios atenuados vivos, probióticos, leveduras, enzimas, vacinas, proteínas e qualquer material biológico sensível ao calor. pelo direcionamento da energia via uma onda em propagação através de uma amostra, um bom controle da temperatura e condições de processo pode ser realizado. o método proporciona uma alternativa para os métodos convencionais de lixiviação de particulado ou secagem por congelamento.
