Abstract

FERRAMENTA DE SOLDAGEM POR FRICçãO LINEAR. A presente invenção refere-se a uma ferramenta de soldagem por fricção linear (2) que é utilizada em soldar estruturas. A ferramenta (2) compreende um ressalto (4) e uma sonda (6) se estendendo a partir do ressalto. A sonda possui pelo menos três seções (8a, 8b, 8c) eqúiangularmente dispostas ao redor do eixo geométrico longitudinal da sonda, cada seção compreendendo pelo menos três partes planas (8) dispostas de forma contigua ao redor do eixo geométrico (12) da sonda (6). As partes planas (8) são dispostas de modo que os eixos normais das partes planas convirjam em uma direção para o eixo geométrico (12) da sonda, desse modo resultando em cada uma das seções possuindo um formato geralmente convexo. A sonda (6) também inclui uma parte com rosca (lOa, lOb, lOc) disposta entre cada par de seções sem rosca geralmente em formato convexo (8a, 8b, 8c).
