Abstract
DISPOSITIVOS DE CODIFICAçãO, DE CONVERSãO E DE DECODIFICAçãO, SISTEMA DE áUDIO, MéTODOS PARA CODIFICAR UM CONJUNTO DE SiNAIS DE ENTRADA, PARA CONVERTER UM SINAL DOMINANTE E PARA DECODIFICAR UM SINAL DE ENTRADA, E, PRODUTO DE PROGRAMA DE COMPUTADOR. Um dispositivo de codificação (1) e método convertem um conjunto de sinais (1, r) em um sinal dominante (m) contendo a maior parte da energia de sinal, um sinal residual (S) contendo o restante da energia de sinal, e parâmetros de sinal (IID, ICC) associados à conversão. O sinal dominante (m) e partes selecionadas do sinal residual (S) são codificados. Selecionar partes do sinal residual envolve um sinal residual (S') passar partes perceptualmente relevantes do sinal residual (S), atenuar partes perceptualmente menos relevantes do sinal residual e suprimir as partes menos relevantes do sinal residual. Um dispositivo de decodificação associado (2) e método, decodificam o sinal dominante codificado e o sinal residual codificado, de modo a produzir um sinal dominante decodificado (m '~u~) e um sinal residual modificado (S' ~mod~) respectivamente. Um sinal residual sintético (S '~syn~) é derivado do sinal dominante decodificado (m '~u~) e é atenuado de modo a produzir um sinal residual sintético atenuado (S' ~syn~,~mod~). O sinal residual sintético atenuado (S' ~syn~,~mod~) e o sinal residual decodificado (S ~mod~) são combinados para produzir um sinal residual reconstruído (S'). O sinal dominante decodificado (m') e o sinal residual reconstruído (S') são então convertidos em um conjunto de sinais de saída (l',r').
