Abstract
MéTODOS E APARELHOS DE ENDEREçAMENTO DE LINHA MúLTIPLA. A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e aparelhos para acionamento de visores eletroóticos, em particular diodos emissores de luz orgânicos (OLED) usando-se técnicas de endereçamento de linha múltipla (MLA). As modalidades da invenção são particularmente adequadas para uso com os assim denominados visores de OLED de matriz passiva. Um método de acionamento de um visor eletroótico, o visor tendo uma pluralidade de pixels, cada um endereçável por um eletrodo de linha e um eletrodo de coluna, o método compreendendo: o recebimento de dados de imagem para exibição, os referidos dados de imagem definindo uma matriz de imagem; a fatoração da referida matriz de imagem em um produto de pelo menos uma primeira e uma segunda matriz de fator, a referida primeira matriz de fator definindo sinais de acionamento de linha para o referido visor, a referida segunda matriz de fator definindo sinais de acionamento de coluna para o referido visor; e o acionamento dos referidos eletrodos de linha e de coluna de visor usando-se os referidos sinais de acionamento de linha e de coluna respectivamente definidos pelas referidas primeira e segunda matrizes de fator.MULTI-LINE ADDRESSING METHODS AND APPARATUS. The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for driving electro-optical displays, in particular organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) using multiple line addressing (MLA) techniques. Embodiments of the invention are particularly suitable for use with the so-called passive matrix OLED displays. A method of driving an electromagnetic display, the display having a plurality of pixels, each addressable by a line electrode and a column electrode, the method comprising: receiving image data for display, said image data defining an image matrix; factorizing said image matrix into a product of at least a first and a second factor matrix, said first factor matrix defining line trigger signals for said display, said second factor matrix defining line trigger signals column for said display; and actuating said display line and column electrodes using said line and column drive signals respectively defined by said first and second factor arrays.
