Abstract
REFORçO DE CARCAçA DE TURBINA EM MOTOR A JATO DE TURBINA A GáS. Em uma modalidade, uma carcaça de turbina de baixa ou alta pressão (204) é usinada em sua superfície externa para formar entalhes circunferenciais (302). Os entalhes podem coincidir com locais internos de vedações (210) para as pás (208) ou, por exemplo, com "pontos quentes" que foram identificados. Um anel de reforço (304) pode ser encolhido com um ajuste por interferência em cada entalhe (312) através de diferenciais de temperatura de indução entre o anel e a carcaça. A força circunferencial radialmente compressiva exercida por cada anel pode inibir a expansão da carcaça de turbina de baixa ou alta pressão no mesmo valor em que ao contrário ocorreria. Em algumas aplicações, um anel de reforço pode aperfeiçoar o espaço livre das pontas das pás ou contrabalançar "pontos quentes", enrijecer a carcaça, aperfeiçoar o esfriamento da carcaça, ou outros benefícios, dependendo da aplicação específica. Em uma modalidade, entalhes podem ser evitados. Em uma modalidade alternativa, anéis-C, ou múltiplos anéis segmentados, podem ser acoplados mutuamente mediante meio hidráulico, elétrico ou outro meio e acionados por um controlador para exercer força circunferencial, radialmente compressiva, ajustável.
