Abstract

Therapeutic Agents, Subject Vaccination Method against Microorganism or Microorganism-Produced Antigen, Purified Salmonella Species Culture and Their Use Summary The present invention relates to live attenuated Salmonella cultures for use as vaccines. Salmonella cultures of the present invention have a substantially reduced ability to grow and replicate in the presence of bile. Reduced growth capacity is due to mutation of metabolic shift induced by exposure to a combination of nalidixic acid and rifampicin for a time and under conditions sufficient to induce the mutation.
