Abstract

"PROCESSO DE PREPARAçãO DE UM AGENTE FLOCULANTE A BASE DE EXTRATO VEGETAL". A presente invenção se refere a um processo de preparação de um agente coagulante / floculante a partir de extrato aquoso de tanino vegetal através da Reação de Mannich entre um aldeído, uma amina ou sal de amina e o extrato de tanino. Na presente invenção também é feita uma pós-reação com o objetivo de melhorar as características do produto obtido. A presente invenção propõe reduzir os teores de aldeídos livres a fim de evitar os problemas associados a aldeídos livres ou produtos de condensação dos mesmos. Para isto, consiste em preparar um tanino modificado e ao fim da reação normal, fazer uma pós-reação com um composto para reduzir assim os produtos indesejáveis a níveis mais seguros. O processo de preparação de um agente coagulante / floculante a partir de extrato aquoso de tanino, com base na descrição a seguir, representa uma nova concepção dos processos de fabricação do produto: a) mistura de um aldeído e um sal de amónio em meio aquoso; b) reação desta mistura descrita no item 'a', a 50 - 100<198>C por um tempo não menor do que 1 hora até obtenção de uma solução levemente amarelada a incolor; c) reação da mistura obtida e descrita no item 'b', com uma solução aquosa de tanino com concentração entre 45 e 55% por no mínimo 30 minutos, obtendo um líquido; d) pós-reação do líquido obtido e descrito no item 'c', com uma amina a temperatura entre 30 e 70<198>C por um período entre 0,5 a 6 horas."PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF A VEGETABLE FLOATING FLOCULATING AGENT". The present invention relates to a process for preparing a coagulant / flocculant from aqueous plant tannin extract by the Mannich reaction between an aldehyde, an amine or amine salt and the tannin extract. In the present invention a post-reaction is also made in order to improve the characteristics of the obtained product. The present invention proposes to reduce free aldehyde contents in order to avoid the problems associated with free aldehydes or condensation products thereof. For this, it consists of preparing a modified tannin and after the normal reaction, post-reaction with a compound to reduce undesirable products to safer levels. The process of preparing a coagulant / flocculant from aqueous tannin extract, based on the following description, represents a novel design of the product manufacturing processes: a) mixing an aldehyde and an ammonium salt in aqueous medium ; b) reacting this mixture described in item 'a' at 50 - 100 <198> C for a time not less than 1 hour until a slightly yellowish to colorless solution is obtained; c) reaction of the mixture obtained and described in item 'b', with an aqueous tannin solution with concentration between 45 and 55% for at least 30 minutes, obtaining a liquid; d) post reaction of the liquid obtained and described in item 'c', with an amine at a temperature between 30 and 70 ° C for a period between 0.5 to 6 hours.
