Abstract
"ESPALHAMENTO DE RAIO X E QUIMIOMETRIA PARA CLASSIFICAçãO DE óLEOS VEGETAIS, ANIMAIS, MINERAIS E/OU SINTéTICOS". Trata-se de um método de identificação de vários tipos de óleos através do espalhamento de raios X, como nova técnica de medida, aliado a quimiometria. Mais especificamente, as amostras utilizadas foram obtidas comercialmente e dentre elas estão: óleos de girassol, milho, soja e canola, de cinco diferentes marcas, e azeites de oliva extra-virgem e outros tipos de azeites de onze e seis diferentes marcas, respectivamente. Para as análises, as alíquotas são adicionadas nas celas apropriadas para irradiação usando um equipamento de Fluorescência de Raios-X por Dispersão de Energia (EDXRF, do inglês Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence), e medidas usando um espectrómetro, operando com condições controladas. Os espectros obtidos são analisados utilizando os programas estatísticos e aplicando a Análise de Componentes Principais (PCA, do inglês Principal Component Analysis) como modelo matemático. Com os dados obtidos desta forma, é possível identificar as diferentes classes referentes aos vários tipos de óleos, devido às composições distintas das matrizes destas amostras. O novo método analítico, que emprega espalhamento de raios X, de grande simplicidade e rapidez, com baixo custo de análise, é otimizado, avaliado e empregado para classificação dos óleos vegetais, animais, minerais, sintéticos e/ou seus derivados, que possuam aplicações industriais como: alimento, medicamento, combustível, aroma, cosmético, óleos essenciais, lubrificante e/ou ornamental.
