Abstract
APARELHO E PROCESSO PARA CONVERTER COMPOSTOS DE ENXOFRE EM UMA CORRENTE DE HIDROCARBONETO, E, APARELHO PARA CONTATAR A CORRENTE DE HIDROCARBONETO CONTENDO COMPOSTOS DE ENXOFRE COM áLCALI. São descritos um aparelho e um processo para extrair compostos de enxofre de uma corrente de hidrocarboneto. Uma seção de pré-lavagem para converter sulfeto de hidrogênio em um sal de sulfeto pela reação com um álcali, de tal forma que o cáustico se comunique com uma seção de extração disposta diretamente acima da seção de pré-lavagem para converter mercaptanas em mercaptídeos pela reação com álcali. An apparatus and method for extracting sulfur compounds from a hydrocarbon stream is described. A prewash section for converting hydrogen sulfide to a sulfide salt by reaction with an alkali such that the caustic communicates with an extraction section disposed directly above the prewash section for converting mercaptans to mercaptides by reaction with alkali. The hydrocarbon product exits the extraction section through a binder that prevents alkali from escaping with the hydrocarbon product stream. A prewash section for converting hydrogen sulfide to sodium sulfide by reaction with an alkali, such as caustic solution, prepares the hydrocarbon stream for extraction. Spent alkali is continuously removed and regenerated alkali is continuously added to the prewash section.
