Abstract

"RECIPIENTE OU PRé-FORMA DE PLáSTICO". A presente invenção refere-se a montagem de acabamento para um recipiente ou uma pré-forma de plástico que inclui um gargalo plástico apresentando uma extremidade aberta circundada por um flange externo (22). O flange apresenta um canal aberto axialmente virado proximal a uma superfície externa do gargalo. The present invention relates to the finishing assembly for a container or a plastic preform including a plastic neck having an open end surrounded by an outer flange (22). The flange has an axially turned open channel proximal to an outer surface of the neck. A plastic trim ring has an annular body, an inner surface opposite the outer surface of the neck, an outer surface with at least one outer thread, crimping or other means for connecting a closure, and an annular edge (36) extending to the channel. The channel may be formed in part by a radially inwardly extending conical surface on the flange, and the lip has a radially outwardly extending conical surface in engagement with the radially inwardly facing conical surface on the flange to seal the trim ring against the flange against the liquid entering between the trim ring and the neck.
