Abstract
"SISTEMA PARA HABILITAR SELETIVAMENTE MODOS DE OPERAçãO DE UM DISPOSITIVO". Trata-se de um sistema para habilitar seletivamente modos de operação de um dispositivo. O sistema inclui um método para habilitar seletivamente os modos de operação de um dispositivo durante a inicialização do dispositivo, em que os modos de operação compreendem um modo privilegiado e um modo nao privilegiado. O método inclui determinar, durante a inicialização do dispositivo, se o dispositivo vai operar no modo privilegiado ou tanto no modo privilegiado quanto no modo não privilegiado e habilitar o modo privilegiado se for determinado que o dispositivo esteja para operar apenas no modo privilegiado. O método inclui também habilitar tanto o modo privilegiado quanto o modo não privilegiado se for determinado que o dispositivo esteja para operar tanto no modo privilegiado quanto no modo não privilegiado."SYSTEM TO SELECTIVELY ENABLE MODES OF OPERATING A DEVICE". It is a system for selectively enabling modes of operation of a device. The system includes a method for selectively enabling modes of operation of a device during device startup, wherein the modes of operation comprise a privileged mode and a nonprivileged mode. The method includes determining at device startup whether the device will operate in privileged mode or both in privileged and non-privileged mode and enabling privileged mode if it is determined that the device is to operate in privileged mode only. The method also includes enabling both privileged mode and non-privileged mode if it is determined that the device is to operate in both privileged and non-privileged mode.
