Abstract

"APARELHO PARA GERAçãO DE ONDAS ACúSTICAS EM UMA FORMAçãO ATRAVESSADA POR UM FURO DE POçO, APARELHO PARA GERAçãO DE UM SINAL ACúSTICO EM RESPOSTA A SINAIS DE CONTROLE DE ENTRADA, APARELHO TRANSMISSOR ACúSTICO, MéTODO PARA PERFILAGEM DE UM FURO DE POçO DURANTE A PERFURAçãO, E MéTODO DE FABRICAçãO DE UM TRANSMISSOR ACúSTICO". Trata-se de métodos e aparelhos que facilitam operações de perfilagem-durante-a-perfuração ('Logging-While-Drilling' - LWD) utilizando uma fonte transmissora acústica de múltiplos pólos. A fonte transmissora de múltiplos pólos permite medir velocidades de formação, incluindo velocidades de ondas de cisalhamento através de formações que são mais lentas que as velocidades através de fluidos locais. Os métodos e aparelhos são particularmente bem adequados para levantamentos sísmicos por cabo de perfuração e LWD em que tanto os receptores quanto as fontes acústicas ou sísmicas são instalados no interior de um furo perfurado, mas podem igualmente ser utilizados para VSP ('Vertical Seismic Profiling' - Perfilagem Sísmica Vertical).
