Abstract
"CONJUNTO DE VEDAçãO COBERTURA EXTREMA PARA UMA CéLULA ELETROQUìMICA". é divulgado um conjunto de vedação cobertura extrema para uma célula eletroquímica, tal como uma célula alcalina. O conjunto de cobertura extrema compreende uma cobertura extrema convoluta e que também pode funcionar como um terminal de célula, e um disco de vedação isolante subjacente. O disco de vedação isolante compreende uma saliência central e braço que se estende radialmente e que termina em um cotovelo inclinado para baixo e borda periférica inclinada para cima. O disco de cobertura extrema tem no mínimo uma abertura de ventilação através dele que faceia o ambiente circundante. O disco isolante tem um sulco anelar em sua superfície superior ou inferior, que preferivelmente circunda a saliência central. A base do sulco define uma porção membrana rompível do disco de vedação isolante. A membrana rompível é projetada para romper preferivelmente quando a pressão interna de gás da célula alcança um nível entre cerca de 150 e 900 psig (1034 x 10¬ 3¬ e 6206 x 10¬ 3¬ pascal manométrica), vantajosamente entre cerca de 150 e 700 psig (1034 x 10¬ 3¬ e 4827 * 10¬ 3¬ pascal manométrica).
