"ELETROCATALISADORES CONTENDO NANOPARTìCULAS METáLICAS A BASE DE PLATINA-ESTANHO SUPORTADAS EM CARBONO PARA USO COMO áNODO NA OXIDAçãO DIRETA DE áLCOOIS EM CéLULAS A COMBUSTìVEL COM MEMBRANA TROCADORA DE PRóTONS". A presente patente de invenção refere-se a utilização de eletrocatalisadores contendo nanopartículas metálicas, a base de platina-estanho e contendo ainda um ou mais elementos (Ti, Zr, V, Nb, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Re, Fe, Ru, Os, Co, Rh, Ir, Ni, Pd, Cu, Ag, Au, Zn, Ga, Bi, U e elementos da série dos lantanídeos), suportadas em carbono de alta área superfícial como ânodo na oxidação direta de álcoois, especialmente etanol, em células a combustível com membrana trocadora de prótons (do inglês Proton exchange Membrane Fuel Cell - PEMFC)."ELECTRICAL CATALYSTANTS CONTAINING CARBON-SUPPORTED METALLIC TIN-BASED NANOParticles FOR USE AS A Node FOR DIRECT OXIDATION OF ALCOHOLS WITH A PRONTON EXCHANGE MEMBRANE". The present invention relates to the use of platinum-tin-based metal nanoparticle electrocatalysts and further containing one or more elements (Ti, Zr, V, Nb, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Re, Fe, Ru, Os, Co, Rh, Ir, Ni, Pd, Cu, Ag, Au, Zn, Ga, Bi, U and lanthanide series elements), supported on high surface area carbon as anode in the direct oxidation of alcohols, especially ethanol, in Proton exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) fuel cells.
