Abstract
"FILTRO DE CROMO PARA FUNDIçãO". Refere-se o presente relatório a uma patente de invenção de um filtro a base cromo para ser utilizada na fundição de metais, mais precisamente na filtragem de diversos metais em fusão, tal como o alumínio, o cobre e o ferro. Existem diversos tipos de filtros para fundição, que incluem os chamados filtros de espuma cerâmica ligados com fosfato ou com carbeto de silício e outros componentes, tal qual previsto, por exemplo, na PI 9003869-0, que descreve um filtro de espuma cerâmica que inclui uma formulação com predominância de carbeto de silício e em segundo lugar alumina, possuindo uma série de outros componentes com funções diversas. Muito embora este filtro baseado em carbeto de silício tenha sido um avanço em relação aos outros filtros, apresenta um custo relativamente elevado. O objetivo da presente patente é um filtro para fundição, que utiliza como principal componente o óxido de cromo. Este objetivo é alcançado com um produto que possui a mesma eficiência dos filtros baseados em carbeto de silício, porém a um custo muito inferior."CHROME FILTER FOR FOUNDRY". This report refers to a patent for a chromium-based filter for use in metal casting, more precisely in filtering various melting metals such as aluminum, copper and iron. There are various types of foundry filters, including so-called phosphate or silicon carbide bonded ceramic foam filters and other components, as for example provided for in PI 9003869-0, which describes a ceramic foam filter which includes a predominantly silicon carbide formulation and secondly alumina, having a number of other components having various functions. Although this silicon carbide-based filter was an advance over other filters, it has a relatively high cost. The purpose of the present patent is a foundry filter, which uses chromium oxide as its main component. This is achieved with a product that has the same efficiency as silicon carbide based filters, but at a much lower cost.
