Abstract

"MéTODO DE TRATAMENTO DE UM ANIMAL NãO-HUMANO, E, MéTODO PARA REDUZIR A OCORRêNCIA DE FEBRE DE TRANSPORTE DE GADO BOVINO". Um método para reduzir ou prevenir a ocorrência de infecções respiratórias, e outras doenças associadas ao confinamento apertado de mamíferos não-humanos como gado bovino, as doenças em geral referidas como 'febre de transporte'. Os métodos podem compreender administrar xilitol, possivelmente na forma de uma solução com base em água ou salina, aos mamíferos não-humanos em uma forma de névoa. A névoa pode ser aplicada diretamente às narinas do animal, ou pode ser aplicada nos arredores gerais do animal, de modo que a solução seja inalada.
