Description

CONSTRUCTIVE PROVISION INTRODUCED IN TRAY

[01] The present Utility Model patent application refers to the constructive arrangement applied to meal transport trays being made in two main parts, with quick assembly and disassembly system and the possibility of increasing and decreasing its length; It has two equal pieces that act as clips for both parts of the tray. It also contains a central step to prevent the slip of food and the like.

[02] Its industrial application is aimed at producing companies that sell plastic products and tray producing industries in general.

In the state of the art, there are several constructive arrangements applied in trays for numerous purposes. However, there is nothing that resembles what will be described here and yet for the purpose that the work was developed.

[04] Briefly describing the prior art, there is a constructive arrangement applied to a tray comprising side tabs to enable attachment to armrests and chairs.

[05] There is another utility model patent consisting of an octagonal base with a hole for conveying cups and cups.

[06] The present technology stands out completely from the state of the art, having a quick assembly and disassembly system and the possibility of increasing and decreasing its size. It also has a horizontal, column-like protrusion at the end of the smaller part to avoid moving utensils over the tray. It also stands out for being intended for transporting food in thermal trolleys in hospitals, airplanes and the like.

[07] It is basically made up of four pieces, which are a sheet of larger plastic material with protruding edges on the three of its four sides. The borderless side should be flat in order to allow passage under the smaller plastic part; and must have a stop at its bottom at each end to enable the tray to lock in its extended position.

[08] The smaller plastic plate has a rectangular shape with three edges and a column-like protrusion, forming a partition between the two parts of the tray, thus preventing food from sliding across the tray when they are joined. There is still a continuation of their lower and upper side edges that fit the edges of the larger part.

[09] To fix and ensure the tray's dexterity, there are two more equal pieces with an average of 100 mm in length, cylindrical shape with cutout in its center to place on the continuation of the edges; and cavities in its upper part to enable fixing (preferably by screw). These two pieces act as clips for the two parts of the tray, allowing the displacement between them, they are joining and allows the displacement of the two parts of the tray.

Such holes (24) serve to pass the screw and secure the clips (2) to the tray. If you want to decrease its size, just slide the smaller part (1) over the larger part (3).

[16] The present work was developed to enable optimum accommodation of trays in thermal trolleys for food and beverage transportation in hospitals and the like. However it can be used as conventional trays or when there is a need for better accommodation in its transport.

[17] It has easy assembly and system of increase and decrease of its size by slips, which makes the present product very efficient for hospitals that need such practicality.

[18] Preferably said tray is made of plastic or the like, however it may be made of other materials as required, such as pressed sheets.

[19] The technological differential of the present work is effectively in a four-piece tray that allows the slide to increase and decrease the tray size simply and quickly.
