Abstract

"MéTODO PARA USO EM UM SISTEMA DE LOCALIZAçãO SEM FIO E MéTODO PARA LOCALIZAR UM TRANSMISSOR MóVEL". Um método para localizar um transmissor móvel compreende as etapas de (a) produzir uma primeira estimativa da localização do transmissor móvel com base em uma primeira transmissão a partir do transmissor móvel; (b) fazer o transmissor móvel emitir uma segunda transmissão; (c) produzir uma segunda estimativa da localização do transmissor móvel com base na segunda transmissão; e (d) combinar pelo menos a primeira e a segunda estimativas para obter uma estimativa mais precisa, melhorada, da localização do transmissor móvel. A etapa (b) pode compreender conferir (fig. 11c) o transmissor móvel para induzir uma resposta de conferência, ou terminar a chamada (desligando-a) e então iniciar uma outra chamada localizando o transmissor móvel para induzir uma resposta de localização. A etapa (d) preferivelmente compreende produzir uma média de uma pluralidade de estimativas de localização estatisticamente independentes.
