Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA COORDENAR OPERAçõES EM TABELA DBMS". Tabelas de banco de dados são descarregadas lançando-se um número de encadeamentos (400) correspondente a um número de diretórios de exportação (320) localizados em dispositivos separados de armazenamento (310) que mantêm as tabelas de banco de dados. A cada encadeamento é atribuída uma tabela de banco de dados para descarregar (420). Os dados descarregados de cada tabela de banco de dados são armazenados num diretório de exportação correspondente (320). Os dados são descarregados a partir de cada tabela do banco de dados pela leitura de blocos de dados a partir de cada tabela e pelo armazenamento dos logs de dados no diretório de exportação (320). Cada encadeamento é tratado por um processo separado num ambiente de Multiprocessamento Simétrico (SMP). O processo é repetido até que cada tabela do banco de dados tenha sido descarregada. Os dados são então carregados nas tabelas de banco de dados criando primeiro um número de tabelas temporárias correspondendo ao número de encadeamentos (600), lendo um conjunto de dados armazenados no diretório de exportação (320) e armazenando os dados nas tabelas temporárias.
