Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"SISTEMA DE LINGUAGEM DE DESCRIçãO DE CONFIGURAçãO"<D>. Um sistema de linguagem de descrição de configuração em um ambiente de computador prove um mecanismo para desenvolver conjuntos de regras tencionados para governar sistemas de computação. é provida uma linguagem padrão que o projetista de sistema usa para descrever restrições e regras de sistemas alvo onde uma regra descreve como um certo conjunto de parâmetros de um sistema de computação é determinado baseado em um conjunto de entrada de características desejadas. As características desejadas pertencem a certas tarefas que o usuário quer aplicar a um tal sistema. Os parâmetros (ou restrições) são baseados nas limitações do sistema tais como configuração de memória, velocidade de processador e número de modelo. O projetista de sistema cria conjuntos de regra usando a linguagem e compilador padrão. O compilador garante que os conjuntos são completos e não ambíguos. E converte a linguagem padrão em um formato binário que é compacto, portátil, e adequado para pesquisas eficientes, desta forma minimizando tempos de execução. é provida uma ferramenta de relatório para o projetista verificar os parâmetros do sistema e atravessa todos os conjuntos de regra e cria uma tabela de todas as combinações possíveis de opções ou características do sistema alvo. O banco de dados de regra resultante é então lido usando um gerenciador de banco de dados que aplica o conjunto de regras no banco de dados de regra para entrar trabalhos ou escolhas que o usuário faz. Quaisquer características desejadas que não são disponíveis ou factíveis no sistema alvo são substituídas com características que fazem sentido com relação ao sistema alvo. A saída do gerenciador de banco de dados é um conjunto corrigido ou restrito de escolhas.
