Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"IMUNóGENO DE SOMATOSTATINA SINTéTICO PARA PROMOçãO DE CRESCIMENTO EM ANIMAIS DE FAZENDA"<D>. A invenção apresenta peptídios que compreendem a somatostatina, ou uma seq³ência homóloga à somatostatina, que são ligados covalentemente a um epítopo de célula auxiliar T e opcionalmente outras seq³ências imunoestimuladores. A presente invenção apresenta o uso de peptídios como imunógenos para resultar na produção em mamíferos de anticorpos policlonais de título elevado, os quais são específicos para a somatostatina. Os peptídios devem ser úteis na redução dos níveis da somatostatina em mamíferos, na taxa de crescimento e desse modo em uma maior eficácia na utilização dos alimentos.Invention Patent: <B> "SYNTHETIC SOMATOSTATIN IMMUNOGEN FOR PROMOTING GROWTH IN FARM ANIMALS" <D>. The invention features peptides that comprise somatostatin, or a sequence homologous to somatostatin, that are covalently linked to a T helper cell epitope and optionally other immunostimulatory sequences. The present invention features the use of peptides as immunogens to result in the production in mammals of high-tier polyclonal antibodies, which are specific for somatostatin. The peptides should be useful in reducing the levels of somatostatin in mammals, in the growth rate and thus in a greater efficiency in the use of food.
