Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA A REMOçãO DE SìLICA DE UMA SOLUçãO ALCALINA CONTENDO ALUMINATO DE SóDIO"<D>. Um processo é descrito para remover a sílica dissolvida de uma solução alcalina contendo aluminato de sódio, por exemplo, uma solução de processo Bayer. O processo compreende contactar a solução alcalina com um leito ligeiramente agitado de partículas compreendendo sílica grossa ou uma mistura de areia de sílica grossa e partículas de sodalita, em que a sílica dissolvida é precipitada para fora da solução para formar uma precipitação do produto de-silicado disperso na solução e separar os sólidos do produto de-silicado da solução alcalina para obter uma solução alcalina de-silicada.
