Patente de Invenção: <B>''DISPOSITIVO PARA A CAPTAçãO DE IMAGENS''<D>. Em um reticulado hexagonal estão dispostos elementos sensores, a cada um dos quais é conjugado, no reticulado, um elemento de processador em forma de autómato primitivo. Os elementos de processador são preparados para realizar algoritmos com auxílio dos quais as linhas de uma impressão digital podem ser simplificadas de tal maneira, que podem ser extraídos detalhes característicos da impressão digital (extremidades e ramificações das linhas). Os elementos de processador são realizados segundo a lógica de valor limite-CMOS/Neuron-MOS ou na lógica-Transistor-Pass-CMOS/NMOS. O reticulado de imagem pode ser lido em forma de matriz através de circuitos de leitura (A).
