"PROCESSOS PARA DETECçãO AUTOMATIZADA DE MICROCALCIFICAçõES, PARA SEGMENTAR UMA áREA DE UMA IMAGEM DE MAMOGRAMA DIGITAL, PARA DETECçãO AUTOMATIZADA DE MICROCALCIFICAçãO AGRUPADA, PARA INCORPORAR AS DETECçõES DE SAìDA DE UM SISTEMA DE DETECçãO AUXILIADO POR COMPUTADOR PARA DETECTAR MICROCALCIFICAçõES AGRUPADAS EM UM MAMOGRAMA, E, PARA COLETA AUTOMATIZADA DE IMAGEM, APARELHOS PARA DETECçãO AUTOMATIZADA DE MICROCALCIFICAçõES, E, PARA DETECTAR MICROCALCIFICAçõES AGRUPADAS EM UMA IMAGEM DE MAMOGRAMA DIGITAL". Um processo, um sistema para detectar e visualizar microcalcificação agrupada em um mamograma digital, no qual um mamograma digital único (100) é inicialmente coletado automaticamente (200) para uma sub imagem de área do seio que é então processada por meio de uma diferença otimizada de um filtro Gaussiano, para reforçar a aparência de microcalcificação potencial na sub imagem. A process, a system for detecting and visualizing microcalcification grouped on a digital mammogram, in which a single digital mammogram (100) is initially collected automatically (200) for a sub-image of the breast area which is then processed through an optimized difference of a Gaussian filter, to reinforce the appearance of potential microcalcification in the sub image. Potential microcalcification is limited, clusters are detected (300), characteristics are computed for the detected clusters, and clusters are classified (400) as suspect or non-suspect, through a neural network. The locations on the original digital mammogram of the suspected detected pooled microcalcification are indicated. The results of the system are optimally combined with an observation by the radiologist of the original mammogram, combining the observations with the results after the radiologist first accepted or rejected individual detections reported by the system.
