Abstract

<B>MéTODO PARA CONTROLAR O NúMERO DE MENSAGENS RECEBIDAS POR UMA UNIDADE DE TRANSMISSãO DE MENSAGEM PESSOAL<D> Uma PMU (Unidade de Transmissão de Mensagem Pessoal) (14) de um assinante determina quando o número de mensagens recebidas provavelmente será excessivo contando as mensagens recebidas e comparando seu número e taxa de recebimento com limites armazenados. O assinante é alertado quando um excesso é detectado, e tem opções como: encaminhar mensagens futuras para ele próprio via links de comunicação alternativos e mais baratos (34, 38), ou terminar mensagens enviadas para um dos endereços de sua PMU que está recebendo mensagens em uma taxa elevada. Pode-se efetuar controle similar na estação de base (12) da PMU.
