Como depois de um determinado período de tempo, a suspensão usada é substituída por suspensão fresca, sendo necessário limpar regularmente as aparelhagens, é gerada água residual que contém fundentes, por exemplo flúor aluminato de potássio. Estas águas residuais até agora foram eliminadas no meio ambiente. Verificou-se todavia agora que estas águas residuais podem ser recicladas no processo de soldagem após a separação do fundente. Desta maneira a incidência de águas residuais pode ser evitada mais ampla extensão possível. Como são freq³entemente empregados tencídeos e como estes também são reciclados, torna-se possível uma economia correspondente em tencídeo.
