A presente invenção trata de uma composição de anodo compreendendo melaço de cana-de-açúcar como agente ligante, em substituição ao piche eletrolítico. Dita composição pode, opcionalmente, incluir aditivos a base de lítio, flúor, alumínio, alumina, boro e enxofre e é utilizada em um processo para a fabricação de anodos para a indústria de alumínio primário. The present invention deals with an anode composition comprising sugarcane molasses as a binding agent, replacing electrolytic tar. Said composition can optionally include additives based on lithium, fluorine, aluminum, alumina, boron and sulfur and is used in a process for the manufacture of anodes for the primary aluminum industry. The present invention also deals with a process for the manufacture of said anode and its application to the primary aluminum industry.
