Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA FORMAR UMA MANTA PERFURADA". Descreve-se um processo para formar uma manta macia e resiliente (10) que apresenta um padrão substancialmente contínuo de desgofragens ou aberturas. The process includes: continuously placing the mat (10) in contact with a forming structure (15) that has a substantially continuous pattern of openings (16) that correspond to the stripping or opening of the mat; locally heating the blanket region at predetermined points along the blanket surface, by means of an energy source (21), to bring the blanket to a temperature above its melting temperature; apply a substantially uniform fluid pressure differential to the locally heated mat (10), at least in those regions to be gouged or perforated, whereby the gouge is gouged or perforated at predetermined points and generally maintains its surface structure at least in those areas in which blanket (10) is not torn or perforated; and removing the perforated or perforated blanket (10) from the forming structure (15). A soft and resilient blanket formed by the process is also described.
