Em um procedimento de comando é carregado um elemento de ajuste capacitivo constituído por um circuito em série de dois capacitores (C1, C2) com uma tensão de carga (Uc = Uc1 + Uc2). A tensão de elemento de ajuste (UP~ ist~) que se estabelece no elemento de ajuste é, no decorrer dos procedimentos de comando seguintes, regulada para um valor nominal (UP~ nom~) predeterminado; o mesmo procedimento resulta para os demais elementos de ajuste.
