The invention concerns a process for drying polyamide/imide wire enamels containing N-methylpyrrolidone, the enamels having a viscosity of at least 100 mPa.s at 23 C. The enamel is passed in a closed cycle in the application unit between the enamel supplier and the storage tank, being pumped through one or more vessels containing a drying agent.
