Abstract
"RESINA COMPOSTA, COLORIDA ARTIFICIALMENTE, PARA BASE DE RESTAURAçãO, EM DENTES POSTERIORES E/OU ANTERIORES". Dentro da Odontologia, nota-se um interesse constante pelas substituições de restaurações metálicas por restaurações "da cor dos dentes", ou seja, restaurações estéticas. Constata-se que o dentista passa a maior parte do seu tempo trabalhando com a confecção de restaurações estéticas, quer seja removendo lesão de cárie e instalando uma restauração nova, quer seja substituindo restaurações metálicas antigas que estejam em boas ou más condições, quer seja substituindo restaurações estéticas que estejam deficientes. Ao remover uma restauração estética (deficiente ou não), o dentista poderá, involuntariamente, remover tecido dental sadio, pois o material restaurador estético utilizado (resina composta) na restauração que está sendo removida, apresenta-se com a cor muito semelhante à cor do dente. Assim, o Desenvolvimento de uma Resina Composta caracterizada por apresentar as mesmas propriedades de uma resina composta utilizada para restaurações estéticas, que apresente uma coloração diferente da cor dos compósitos apresentados no mercado atual e diferente da cor dos dentes poderá servir de base, ficando em contato com o dente, evitando que se desgaste tecido dental sadio, uma vez que a coloração diferente determinará o limite de remoção e desgaste da resina composta.
