Abstract
<B>PRóTESE POLIMéRICA<D>. Que foi idealizada e desenvolvida para ser empregada como próteses implantáveis, em substituição a partes ósseas e articulações, e que constitui-se de diferentes polímeros sintetizados do óleo da mamoma (Ricinus Comunis), sendo que na junção das partes fixas será utilizado um polímero flexível bioinerte (1), ao passo que na junção das partes móveis será utilizado um polímero rígido não integrável (2), ou uma cerâmica bioinerte processada em alumina, sendo previsto ainda, na região de interligação óssea, um polímero poroso osteointegrável (3), o qual permitirá a vascularização e promoverá o fenómero de osteointegração; ou seja, propiciará um crescimento ósseo guiado, sendo que a fixação da haste no corpo da prótese será feita através de um polímero adesivo osteointegrável (4), sendo que será utilizado um polímero rígido osteoindutor (5), que deverá promover o crescimento do osso, afim de fixar a prótese polimérica/osso.
