[001] A presente solicitação de patente de Modelo de Utilidade apresenta um dispositivo caracterizado por ser um “Absorvente Masculino para incontinência urinária de acamados” o qual trata-se de um dispositivo auto ajustável para facilitar a assistência e os cuidados do homem que encontra-se acamado, seja em tratamento médico hospitalar ou em cuidados paliativos residenciais, ou ainda, para o homem que tenha algum tipo de incontinência urinária, para ajudar no controle da retenção quando da evacuação de urina;[001] The present patent application for a Utility Model features a device characterized by being a “Male Absorber for bedwetting urinary incontinence” which is a self-adjusting device to facilitate the assistance and care of the man who is if bedridden, whether in hospital medical treatment or residential palliative care, or for a man who has some type of urinary incontinence, to help control retention when urine is evacuated;

MOTIVATION

Ao observar-se os modelos já existentes no mercado para acamados constata-se existir artigos adaptados para retenção de resíduos fisiológicos, as chamadas fraldas geriátricas, que são volumosas, não confortáveis, e de complicada remoção após seu uso. Um agravante é que os resíduos fisiológicos se misturam, ficando em contato com a pele humana, impondo a necessidade de remoção imediata para manter a higiene básica evitando que a exposição as secreções causem irritações na pele e evoluam para infecções pós procedimentos cirúrgicos. Constatou-se recorrente queixas de profissionais e cuidadores em relação a dificuldade ou ineficiência para a fixação dos artigos no pênis masculino, ao incomodo pelo seu volume excessivo e vazamentos de urina pela movimentação involuntária pós aplicação causando vazamentos e incomodo em seus usuários.[003].
