Segundo o documento o dispositivo sincroniza o cio e as ovulações desses animais, possibilitando programas reprodutivos como inseminação artificial em tempo fixo, superovulação e sincronização de receptoras, entre outros, possuindo um formato de "T", com uma cauda plástica para sua extração, e sendo composto por uma alma plástica de nylon (inserto) que lhe confere resistência e rigidez, sendo essa alma totalmente recoberta com uma membrana de silicone, impregnada de progesterona, sendo essa membrana responsável pela liberação lenta do hormônio; referido inserto sendo produzido por injeção térmica de poliamida em moldes de aço e os insertos sendo posteriormente alocados em um novo molde, onde recebem a camada de silicone impregnado de progesterona, sendo esse novo processamento realizado por injeção em molde de transferência da mistura de um elastômero liquido de silicone de cura quente com a progesterona, de modo que o produto final contenha 1 g de progesterona.
