CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT IN CUTTING CUTTING PLATFORM

The present utility model describes a constructive arrangement in a combine cutting platform. More specifically, it comprises a platform equipped with a retraction reel that features collecting fingers with changes in movement, with rotation on the finger axis being provided to prevent material from getting tangled in the fingers.

The self-propelled equipment used in the harvest of grains has a cutting platform that has a reel that forms a bulkhead next to the plant to facilitate the action of the cutter bar and then retract the plant into the platform as the machine moves forward. This routing of the plant to the cutting area is done using fingers or combs that protrude from the periphery of a roller with rotation synchronized with the advance speed of the harvester, in order to create a homogeneous flow of plants to the cutting bar. This roller with fingers, called reel, has adjustments to suit the various culture conditions, such as vertical, horizontal, tilt and rotation speed adjustments.

According to estimates, it is verified that most of the losses during the harvest are in the system of capture and cut (cutting platform), and in most cases due to problems of adjusting the reel, which must be suitable for tall, low, bedrock crops. and the conditions of the harvest, such as humidity and the existence of straw or stubble, in order to avoid gaps and bushing.

In order to reduce the qualitative and quantitative losses of the grains, several improvements have been incorporated to the cutting platforms

2/5 of harvesters, mainly in the collection reel, in order to provide adjustments to different cultivars and harvest conditions. In this situation, when a small or bedrock crop is harvested, a reel is required to collect this material close to the ground, and an adjustment should be made to the reel, which is different from that used for harvesting tall crops.

US2005284124 describes a roller that has a set of fingers to send the culture towards the rotor and that shows the possibility of reversing the movement.

EP 1297735 describes a roller provided with fingers that generally project radially outwardly from the axis of the roller, so that said roller is fixed in relation to the cutting bar and mounted on arms that allow the roller to be raised and lowered in relation to to the cutter bar, adapting to different crops and harvesting operation conditions.

However, the state of the art describes reels that have retractable pick-up fingers or fixed fingers with an inclination, but that continue to generate clutches that require manual operator intervention, with the need for vigorous physical activity to cut the compacted harvest material wrapped .

Thus, the object of the present utility model is a constructive arrangement on a harvester cutting platform equipped with a collection reel provided with bars with the arrangement of fingers arranged on the surface and that rotate on their own axis when the harvesting speed is increased in order to prevent the material from getting tangled.

In order to better describe the technical characteristics of the constructive arrangement in a combine cutting platform, the following figures are presented:

The constructive arrangement on the harvester cutting platform, object of the present utility model, comprises a cutting platform (100) equipped with a cutting bar (10) and a pick-up reel (20) to bring the plant closer to the cutting bar (10).

The take-up reel (20) comprises a central axis (21) that rotates in bearings (30) fixed to the cutting platform (100) of the harvester. A disc (40) is attached to the bearings (30) which describes a

4/5 rotary movement synchronized with the central axis (21), in said disc (40), being joined a first set of concentric striped rods (50).

At the free end of the streaked rods (50) bars (60) are fixed that extend longitudinally in relation to the central axis (21), said bars (60) provided with collector fingers (61) of arcuate shape.

On the central axis (21), a second set of concentric striped rods (51) are attached, said striped rods (51) which have the bearing end (60) at the free end.

The first set of streaked rods (50) can, in their entirety, be attached to the disc (40) through a fixing means, with the bars (60) being immobilized. Additionally, one or more rods (50) can be attached to the disc (40) through a rotating connection (70), allowing the bars (60) to rotate on their own axis, and the other rods (50) being kept fixed to the disc (40) by means of fixing means.

The collecting fingers (61.) can have their movement altered by changing the fixation of the lateral spokes (50) to the disc (40). When only one rod (50) is fixed to the disc (40) by means of fixation and the other rods (50) joined to the disc (40) through a rotating connection (70), the bars (60) of the collecting fingers (61 ) perform a rotating movement on their own axis, which prevents the collected material from tangling in the bars (60) under certain harvest conditions, as shown in figure 3. The bars (60) of the fingers, when rotating on their own axis, perform a more aggressive movement against the cultivar, forcing the plant to direct against the cutter bar (10). 5/5 a rotating connection (70) is particularly useful for harvesting dry material and at higher speeds, preventing the material from throwing before entering the cutting platform (100), while preventing the material from becoming screw on the bars (60) of collecting fingers, avoiding the accumulation of straw on the reel (20).

When all the rods (50) are attached to the side disc (40) by means of fixation, the bars (60) of the collecting fingers (61) maintain a fixed position in relation to its axis, and it is not possible to perform a rotation on its axis. In this condition, the bars (60) tilt according to the need for harvesting, making a smoother movement over the material to be harvested, according to figure 4.

As shown in figure 5, in the bearing (30) a regulation (80) is provided that can be made manually through the arm (81), providing the change in the angle between the disc (40) and the central axis (21) of the reel . In this way, the angle of attack of the collecting fingers (61) on the material to be harvested is changed, allowing said collecting fingers (61) to bend more or less in relation to the cutting bar (10), providing conditions for lifting material that is close to the ground (bedridden) or small.
