Abstract

CABO. Trata-se do uso de um cabo, por exemplo, para carregar potência em um ambiente de água salgada, por exemplo, no mar ou no fundo do mar; sendo que o dito cabo compreende um condutor que é circundado por pelo menos uma camada semicondutora interna, uma camada de isolamento e uma camada semicondutora externa, nessa ordem; em que a dita camada de isolamento compreende (i) pelo menos 60 % em peso de um homopolietileno de baixa densidade ou copolímero de polietileno de baixa densidade com pelo menos um comonômero poli-insaturado e opcionalmente um ou mais comonômeros adicionais; e, (ii) 10 a 35 % em peso de um copolímero de polietileno de baixa densidade de etileno e pelo menos um comonômero polar selecionado do grupo que consiste em um acrilato de alquila, um metacrilato de alquila ou acetato de vinila.
