Abstract

MÉTODO PARA TRATAMENTO DE TRANSTORNOS NEUROLÓGICOS USANDO TREINAMENTO DE VIA SINÁPTICA. São divulgados métodos de tratamento de depressão, mania, transtorno de estresse pós-traumático (PTSD) e várias outras condições neurológicas usando o treinamento das vias sinápticas. Os métodos de treinamento da via sináptica incluem, geralmente, alcançar um resultado de tratamento favorável pela ativação de uma via sináptica usando um agente farmacológico, como o tratamento de sintomas refratários de depressão com cetamina, seguido pela potencialização do resultado favorável pela estimulação repetida da via ativada. A estimulação de uma via sináptica pode ser alcançada por meios intrínsecos, como o desempenho de exercícios cognitivos, ou meios extrínsecos, como a entrega de um estímulo sensorial ao paciente, colocando uma diferença de voltagem potencial no cérebro ou em uma região do cérebro, ou colocando o cérebro ou uma região do cérebro em um campo magnético.
