Abstract

MÉTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM BLOCO CATÓDICO PARA UMA CÉLULA DE ELETRÓLISE DE HALL-HÉROULT PARA PRODUÇÃO DE ALUMÍNIO, E, BLOCO CATÓDICO PARA UMA CÉLULA DE ELETRÓLISE DE HALL-HÉROULT PARA PRODUÇÃO DE ALUMÍNIO. A presente invenção refere-se a um bloco catódico e um método para produzir tal bloco catódico (32), para ser hasteado com barras catódicas (22, 22?) e instalado como um conjunto de cátodos em uma célula de Hall-Héroult para produção eletrolítica de alumínio, em que segmentos verdes pré-fabricados (31) de um material de compósito compreende pós de material duro, tal como TiB2, HfB2, ZrB2, CrB2, WB2, ou pó de carboneto de metal de refeitório, tal como SiC, Cr3C2. B4C, TiC, ou AI2O3, e coque e breu, são formados em um pequeno vibromolde. Esses segmentos de compósito verde (31) estão, então, dispostos em áreas selecionadas no fundo de um vibromolde maior para fazer os blocos catódicos, em que a pasta catódica carbonácea é inserida na forma, e a pasta catódica os segmentos pré-fabricados são expostos a um processo de formação no vibromolde, fundindo os segmentos de compósito pré-fabricados (31) com a pasta catódica, formando-se, assim, um bloco catódico verde com uma camada de compósito integrada.
