A série anular de abas de engate (16; 216) de cada abertura é interrompida por, no máximo, dois vãos (26, 26A, 26B). Uma linha diametral estimada z-z? passa através do centro de cada um dos, no máximo, dois vãos (26, 26A, 26B) e se estende substancialmente perpendicular à direção de grão GR do material de papel a partir do qual o transportador de artigo (90; 290) é formado.
