COMPOSIÇÃO SINTÉTICA DE MICRÓBIOS FUNCIONALMENTE OTIMIZADOS, E, MÉTODO. The present disclosure provides a consortium of microbes that are functionally optimized for nitrogen fixation and release to plants in a targeted, efficient and environmentally sustainable manner. Microbes in the intercrop differ in nutrient utilization, temporal occupancy, oxygen adaptability and/or spatial occupancy, which allows microbes to deliver nitrogen to a cereal plant in a spatially (e.g. rhizospheric) and temporally directed (e.g. , during the advantageous stages of the plant's life cycle). The present disclosure also provides methods of creating a synthetic composition of microbes and methods of using compositions of microbes to fix atmospheric nitrogen and supply it to a culture.
