Abstract

AGULHA INTRODUTORA E UM SISTEMA DE CATETER COMPREENDENDO A AGULHA. Um sistema de cateter (10) para reduzir o risco de transpassar um vaso sanguíneo. O sistema de cateter inclui um adaptador de cateter, o qual inclui uma extremidade proximal, uma extremidade distal e um lúmen se estendendo entre elas. O sistema de cateter inclui um cateter (40) se estendendo distalmente da extremidade distal do adaptador de cateter. O sistema de cateter inclui uma agulha introdutora (12) se estendendo através do cateter (40). A agulha introdutora (12) inclui uma ponta distal aguçada (24) e um chanfro primário (22) se estendendo de uma borda externa (20) da agulha introdutora (12) para a ponta distal aguçada (24). A borda externa (20) é paralela a um eixo geométrico central (16) da agulha introdutora (12) e alinhada com a ponta distal aguçada (24).
