inversão sísmica estocástica iterativa. um método inclui o recebimento de uma primeira matriz de probabilidade de transição (tpm) de uma região subterrânea, em que o tpm define, para uma dada litologia em uma amostra de profundidade atual (ou microcamada), uma probabilidade de litologias específicas em uma amostra de profundidade seguinte (ou microcamada), recebendo dados sísmicos para a região subterrânea, utilizando o primeiro tpm e os dados sísmicos para gerar os primeiros pseudo poços, calculando um segundo tpm dos primeiros pseudo poços, determinando se o segundo tpm é consistente com o primeiro tpm, e utilizando os primeiros pseudo poços para caracterizar um reservatório na região subterrânea quando o segundo tpm é determinado como sendo consistente com o primeiro tpm.
