Abstract
SUPERFÍCIE METÁLICA COM REVESTIMENTO CONTRA DESGASTE E MÉTODO DE FABRICAÇÃO. The present invention deals with an apparatus which is disclosed including a first volume of material having at least one tempered portion and a second volume of material which includes at least two layers. The first volume of material is composed of at least one steel alloy that accepts heat treatment. The two layers are located adjacent a first surface comprising the tempered portion of the first volume of material. The two layers include a first layer composed of at least one low carbon ductile steel alloy and a second layer composed of at least one cobalt-based wear coating over the first layer. The apparatus is applicable in preparing shear drawer blocks and shear drawer blades to provide a tempered blade edge with an adjacent wear-coating surface.
