é divulgado um dispositivo de distribuição de fibra óptica/elétrica tendo um invólucro definindo um volume interno. uma porta de cabo elétrico prolonga-se para dentro do volume interno e é acessível externamente a partir do invólucro, em que a porta de cabo elétrico é selada para impedir a entrada de poeira e água para dentro do volume interno. uma porta de cabo de fibra óptica se prolonga para dentro do volume interno e é acessível externamente a partir do invólucro. a porta de cabo de fibra óptica é vedada para impedir a entrada de poeira e água para dentro do volume interno. uma montagem de conversão tendo uma placa de circuito impresso (pcb) e uma bandeja de cabos de fibra óptica suportada em alinhamento empilhado com a pcb é posicionada no volume interno. a pcb possui um conversor óptico/elétrico e um circuito de energia elétrica. um espaçamento definido é mantido entre a pcb e a bandeja de cabos de fibra óptica, e a pcb e a bandeja de cabos de fibra óptica são mantidas em alinhamento lateral.
