Abstract

um motor a diesel de injeção direta de 2 ciclos, configurado para acomodar diesel de baixo teor de cetano e combustíveis para aviação. o motor inclui câmaras de combustão com superfícies que funcionam a altas temperaturas durante a operação do motor para aumentar a taxa de combustão de combustíveis com baixo teor de cetano. o motor é ainda configurado para reduzir os tempos de partida em situações de frio e/ou baixa pressão, como as que ocorreram durante as tentativas de reiniciar um motor de avião em altitudes relativamente altas.
