Abstract

para possibilitar a geração prática e rápida de uma família de classificações hdr de boa aparência para várias telas nas quais pode ser necessário exibir a imagem hdr, a presente invenção refere-se um aparelho de transformação de cor (201) para calcular as cores resultantes (r2, g2, b2) de pixels de uma imagem de saída (im_mdr) para uma tela com um brilho de pico de tela (pb_d) a partir de cores de entrada (r, g, b) de pixels de uma imagem de entrada (im_in) com um código de luma máximo correspondente a um brilho de pico de primeira imagem (pb_im1) que é diferente do brilho de pico de tela, o aparelho de transformação de cor caracterizado por compreender: - uma unidade de determinação de transformação de cor (102; 2501) disposta de modo a determinar uma transformação de cor (tmf; g) compreendendo ao menos uma função de mapeamento de matiz (cc) recebidos através de uma entrada de metadados (116), e sendo que a divisão do brilho de pico de primeira imagem pelo brilho de pico de segunda imagem é maior que 2 ou menor que 1/2; - uma unidade de determinação de fator de escala (200; 2603) disposta de modo a determinar um fator multiplicativo comum resultante (gt; ls), e sendo que o aparelho de transformação de cor (201) compreende adicionalmente: - um multiplicador de alteração de escala (114) disposto para multiplicar cada um dos três componentes de cor de uma representação de cor rgb das cores de entrada com o fator multiplicativo comum resultante (gt).
