The base carries a movable wheel cart to and from a test station. the vertical mullions establish a peripheral size plane that does not extend beyond a tangent plane to an outer bearing surface of the load wheel when it is redirected. the upper frame member includes passageways or slots which allow at least a portion of an upper mandrel to move to the upper frame member, and a superstructure mounted on a top of the transverse member that can be mounted at least in one portion of an actuator to move the upper mandrel. The setting establishes a machine height that allows the machine to be loaded into a standard shipping container and reduces the overall size of the tire uniformity machine without compromising its ability to accurately detect tire uniformity parameters.
