The method of preparation comprises quantitatively concentrating a stock solution of paraquat, homogeneously mixing the solution obtained in a molten state at an elevated temperature with the other ingredients, to give a mixture in a molten state or a mixture in the form of a paste, and subjecting mixing to granulation by spray-cooling the flux, or cooling and comminuting the mixture into granules.
